Lifeline Language Services has been selected by French fire safety testing company Efectis as their lead translator for the translation of highly technical test reports into English.
Efectis is a major player in fire science, providing fire safety expertise in testing and modelling, certification and inspection around across the globe. The French-owned company has 16 laboratories around the world, operating in France, The Netherlands, Turkey, Spain, the Middle-East and China.
The contract was introduced to Lifeline through a long-term French partner agency, Cabinet UTP, but won and maintained thanks to Lifeline’s unique internal capabilities; Production Director Mark Everson is a qualified engineer, with many years of experience in the safety and environmental sector.
Mark comments: “Flawless technical translation – essential in safety-critical content such as fire testing – is something we pride ourselves on at Lifeline. Working already with a number of clients in the Health and Safety sector, ensuring really precise and accurate translation is something we’re passionate about.
“Although the customer is French, the Efectis contract covers a range of languages. While our systems and translators ensure the highest integrity of translation, it’s our engineering experience and technical expertise that give us the real edge when it comes to accurately translating novel and upcoming concepts and technologies.”
